2020 Wrap-Up

2020 was a difficult year for many. My thoughts and prayers go out to those who have been impacted in any way from Covid-19, whether its physically, emotionally, mentally, or financially.

Things are not going to change overnight as we roll into 2021, however looking back on 2020, I am grateful that it has given everybody an opportunity to take a step back, breathe, reflect and focus on the more important things in life. An opportunity to make the necessary adjustments to repair, improve or restart their situation.

Pretty Fly Drone Co.’ is the lemonade I made from the lemons that 2020 threw at me. It’s been a slow, expensive and difficult start, as most new businesses are. But I am fortunate enough to have had this opportunity to learn new things, up-skill, invest and to network.

Additionally, I’m blessed to have a good network of friends, family and strangers who are supporting me on this journey, and I owe a huge thank you to them for believing in me and my ability, and assisting me wherever they can. I wouldn’t have made it this far without them, and I’m confident that things will take-off (excuse the pun) in the new year.

I want to acknowledge and give a massive shoutout to everybody in the services industry, that often go day to day without any recognition. The doctors, nurses, police, emergency services, cleaners, retail workers, factory workers, delivery drivers, public transport workers, childcare staff, teachers, lecturers etc etc… Without them, things everywhere could be a lot worse.

If you are struggling to cope in your situation, there are many support services which you can turn to for help. Please do not feel weak, ashamed, or afraid to speak up or reach out.

Lastly, I thought this video from Boston Dynamics was an entertaining way to wrap up my last post of 2020. While not specifically drone related, I am excited about innovation and technology, and how it is used to make difficult situations and tasks better, simpler, and often more fun.

Thanks again for all of your support.

God Bless, and Happy New Year!

Dustin
